3 Apples (Granny Smith or Fuji)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
5 tablespoon bourbon
4 tablespoon maple sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cup granola
1/2 cup rolled oats
5 tbl softened butter
heavy pinch of kosher salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, core and slice apples thinly. In a large bowl combine the apples, lemon juice, bourbon, sugar and cinnamon. Toss to coat evenly. In another bowl combine softened butter, granola, and oats. Place apples in a 10 in greased cast iron skillet and top with granola mixture. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top is browned and the apples are soft. Serve with good quality vanilla ice cream and a heavy drizzle of Dorset Maple Reserve Bourbon Barrel Aged maple syrup.
